I am all about inexpensive toys for kids as well as creating customized pretend play accessories! Below you will learn how to make no sew toys tutorials of all types!
Below you’ll find sensory play toys, puppets, pretend play, gift ideas, home decorations and more!
Most of my no sew toy tutorials have come over the years out of sheer impulse depending on whatever my kids are interested in at the time!
This 3d shapes set for preschool is great tactile learning! You can add in poly-fill pellets or beans to weight them down and use them as beanbags too! Perfect for designing learning games! Get the tutorial and more creative ideas here!
Felt Pretend Play Money:
When my kids were toddlers play money was the bane of my existence. The paper dollars were constantly ripped (or eaten) and the coins were too small and could be swallowed. Once I started making my own no sew felt pretend play money I never looked back!
No Sew Shark Blanket:
Shark Week is one of the most exciting weeks in our house and when shark blankets first came out they were so expensive! So I asked my son how he wanted to make this shark blanket and we worked on one together!
Shark Hand Puppet:
I found that during Shark Week shark play was with us everywhere we went – even when we were not home! This easy shark hand puppet was a cinch to put together and throw in the car seat every time we left the house!
No Sew Shark Plush Toy:
My son LOVED his stuffed animals when he was little so I surprised him one day with our homemade shark plush animal! I’ve even included a printable template so that you can cut out your felt pieces exactly how we did!
DIY Minecraft Pillows:
No obsession in our house has run as deep as when Minecraft invaded! One Christmas I even let the kids design their own Minecraft Christmas tree! And when they woke up Christmas morning they found these Minecraft pillows under the tree waiting for them! You’ll find tutorials on how to make a Creeper pillow, TNT pillow, and a sheep pillow.
Pretend Play Tea Bags:
I’ve lost count of how many pretend play tea parties we’ve had but we’ve actually made two different types of textured tea bags to play with. This felt tea bag tutorial is my favorite but we’ve also made these tea bags here!
Felt Fall Leaves:
My all time favorite felt toys have been these colorful fall leaves! Instead of waiting for wet leaves from the yard to dry or having them dry out and crunch all around the house these felt fall leaves have been perfect for play all year long!
DIY Ornament Advent Calendar:
I admit, making any type of advent calendar takes a really long time but this felt advent calendar that I made was fun with the kids and re-usable too. Hang it on the tree, from a stick, or pin them to a cork board!
No Sew Finger Puppets:
SO MANY finger puppet ideas! Finger puppets by far have been the most created no sew toy in our house! They are small and don’t require many materials and SO MUCH FUN for making story time even MORE exciting! We’ve made Halloween finger puppets, Christmas finger puppets, monster finger puppets and more!
Felt PEEPS Bunnies:
From Easter baskets to cat nip toys, these fun PEEPS inspired toys are pocket sized fun for any age!
Sasquatch & Yeti Hand Puppets:
Cryptozoology is a really fun topic that will get you exploring outdoors in a heartbeat. Take these Bigfoot and Yeti puppets with you while you hunt outside!
