I LOVE pool noodle crafts for kids but I am even MORE obsessed with Dr. Seuss’ the Lorax! Combine both and you pretty much have the perfect craft for kids! Save your orange pool noodles or grab them on clearance and chop them up to little chunks to make a whole classroom full of the Lorax! You can also find all of your supplies at the dollar store! It’s pretty easy to figure out how to make this cute little guy but the directions are below if you need them!
Lorax Craft Supplies needed:
Orange pool noodle
Yellow crafting foam
Pair of googly eyes
Craft glue
Scissors
Serrated knife
The Lorax Pool Noodle Craft Directions:
1. Begin by cutting your orange pool noodle into a 2-3 inch segment. Your serrated knife will cut the pool noodle nicely and also evenly.
2. Cut a mustache out of the yellow foam. We just free handed ours. You can do the same by cutting out a half moon or half circle shape and then add some ridges.
3. Apply some glue to the back of the mustache and press it to the center of the pool noodle.
4. Add some glue to the back of the googly eyes and press them directly above the mustache.
Your Lorax is now complete. He would be sweet to use at a Dr. Seuss themed party or just when you are enjoy Dr. Seuss books! You can even set him on a student’s desk as a special incentive during reading time. Gather your supplies and try making your own Lorax pool noodle and see what fun you can have.
