Calling all Thing One and Thing Two fans! Make your own Dr. Seuss inspired Thing One and Thing Two Puppets just like the ones you see here.
This is a craft so simple that even little hands can get in on the action, and you can no doubt craft these for just pennies a piece. Here is how you can get started crafting your own Thing One and Thing Two puppets, perfect for acting out finger plays, your favorite Seuss books, and more.
Thing 1 & Thing 2 Craft Supplies:
Wooden craft sticks
Red and blue crafting pom poms
Stick Puppet Directions:
1. Begin by gluing your pom poms to the top of the wooden stick. You want to place two red pom poms for the body, topped with one blue pom pom for hair.
2. You can now add your googly eyes. Press a pair of googly eyes to the middle pom pom. Just add glue, press, and hold in place.
3. Finish the puppets by adding their Thing One and Thing Two name tags. We snipped out simple circles and wrote the names on each with pen. So simple! Add some glue and attach to the center of the stick.
Your Thing One and Thing Two puppets are now ready to be enjoyed! Gather your supplies and try crafting a set of your own, just in time to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday! Check out more Thing 1 & Thing 2 gear here!
