Who Shook Hook? Game Review by Wonder Forge

If you’ve got young kids chances are they LOVE Jake & the Never Land Pirates on Disney Junior and I can bet they will LOVE this fun game called Who Shook Hook? by Wonder Forge! I have to say that this is one of the most fun games I have played with my kids in a while! It’s FANTASTIC for fine motor skills and coordination skills – not to mention just plain fun!
The game board is SO easy to set up – it just took me a minute. You slide the two palm trees into place, attach the hammock and then set up Hook to sleep peacefully while the players carefully remove the treasure around him trying not to wake him up!
It’s VERY simple for even your preschoolers to understand – my 3 year old was able to join us in the fun! There is a spinner which tells you what color treasure to pick up or what tool to use to pick up the treasure. There is a fishing pole, a sword, a shovel, or tweezers.
Choose the wrong treasure and you may send sleeping Hook down into the crocodile’s lake below!
I was impressed that my 3 year old could play with us! Every time it was his turn I would cringe knowing he was going to tip the entire thing but he did a great job! And for my 5 year old which struggles with fine motor skills and coordination this was a SUPER FUN way for him to strengthen his skill! My kids play this game over and over and over again! It’s fantastic for teaching simple strategy skills too! Which treasure is heavier and where on the hammock does it sit? I highly recommend this game – it is SO much fun, VERY easy to set up and uses several key developmental skills for kids!
