Laser Pegs Lighted Construction Set Review

Does your child love building things? I bet if you have kids somewhere in your house is a container (or several of them!) full of building blocks of some sort. Well check out these new Laser Peg Lighted Construction sets – you can actually take your other building sets and build ON TOP of the lit Laser Pegs set!! If you aren’t familiar with Laser Pegs let me introduce you! It is the first unique toy construction set (in the world!) where every individual piece actually feeds the next piece low voltage current. Depending on your set or accessory you can press a button and watch your creation light up! Don’t worry – it’s completely safe. So safe in fact that my 5 year old son LOVES them!
How awesome is that dragon?? We of course have plenty of building bricks and LEGOS so I couldn’t wait to show my son what we received to review! It was the perfect “down time” activity for him to do after a long day!
He didn’t even say anything – he just immediately took it, along with a few piles of blocks, and began building. He didn’t “surface” for at least 20 minutes until he had come up with a pretty cool creation!
You can see that we used both the small LEGOs and the LEGO Duplo bricks together on this Laser Pegs set! You can also see above that my son is pressing a red button on the triangular base and that the Laser Pegs set is lit up. It’s very cool in the dark!
Here is my son’s ultimate creation – a LEGO figure riding in his well-lit boat! This is definitely a very innovative product that even your younger builders can get a pretty big WOW effect from. It was very simple to snap other building bricks onto the laser toy set. They had no problems connecting or staying together. You can see that my son even switched all of the laser pieces around as well. I love the cause and effect for kids. By switching different pieces around not only can you create a different look but you can also create a different feel since it lights up! With Christmas coming up this would make a really cool gift. You can find Laser Pegs at your local Target! We have one other Laser Pegs set and I am highly impressed with them! They are very unique, very sturdy and of course very cool!

This looks like so much fun! My oldest loves Legos. This would be a great addition to her collection.
