Tips to Spring Clean Your Cellphone & U.S. Cellular iPhone 5s #Giveaway

THE SUN IS OUT!! Which is a pretty big deal if you live in the Midwest after our ridiculously cold winter! We’ve been enjoying the warm days by spring cleaning and pulling out our lawn chairs and swings for the summer! But being out and about more also means more germs – so DON’T FORGET to spring clean your electronics! I know, that might sound odd, but it’s one of the LAST things I think to clean! If you’re sick and have germy hands guess what you’re touching a lot of? Your cellphone, your TV, your tablets, etc. They carry some of the most germs in your house! Not to mention that my smartphone case gets downright disgusting! (Just a side note – make sure your cell phone case is a good one because I just shattered the glass on my cell phone! It would have saved me a LOT of money by having a better protection on it!)
But don’t just clean the outside of your phones – clean up those unused apps and software you downloaded over the winter because you had nothing better to do! Trust me – after having my laptop hard drive crash due to FOUR Trojan viruses you’d better believe I wiped it and am cleaning up my computer! It’s a pain but it needs to get done! Thankfully I was able to back up my data before everything crashed so don’t forget about that important step too! I’m glad I have the 4G LTE Network to help me stay connected while I was without my computer for a while! I don’t think about backing up my phone data often but just imagine how you would feel if you lost the (thousands?!) of photos and downloads on your phone! On my cellphone I’m constantly downloading new apps to try, new apps for my kids, etc. If my kids or I don’t use an app for at least a month I delete it to free up some of my storage space on my phone!
Tips to Spring Clean your Cell Phone
Wipe down your phone AND your case! Make sure you use specialized cleaner like Gadget Guard or other special electronic cleaners or just a microfiber cloth so that you don’t scratch your screen! Don’t forget about the crevices in your phone cases – they can harbor some nasty stuff inside! Especially if your phone lives dumped in a purse or a pocket!
Back up your data! Use a free app like Dropbox to backup your photos and files or simply move them onto your home computer.
Clear the clutter & boost your battery!Delete old and unused apps which will free up space on your phone for more new adventures! And make sure you keep your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options turned OFF to help maximize your battery life (unless you need them of course!). Plus you can attend a Device Workshop to learn more about your specific device!
