Today’s frugal tip is too easy, I think even those readers who don’t love being in the kitchen can do this and feel like they really accomplished something great!
Make your own simple jam (I saw a similar recipe in the September issue of Whole Living Magazine). It looks super easy, fresh and yummy.
Simple Freezer Jam
Ingredients2 Lbs of prepared fruit (you could even use frozen!!)
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of sugar
DirectionsCook fruit and sugar in a medium saucepan on medium low (turn down if it seems to high) for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally and mash fruit a bit if it needs it.
Cool slightly, pour into jars and refrigerate. It will last around 1 week in the refrigerator or up to 6 months in the freezer.

Love freezer jams!!! Another quick way to do it is stick it in your breadmachine. I don't remember the setting but then you can just leave it to cook!
