Pest Quest Review

In conjunction with our BUGS month here on Surviving a Teachers Salary the National Pest Management Associaton has offered Pest Quest- a fun pest-based trivia for kids! Pest Quest is a trivia deck for ages 9-99 which asks & answers 34 different pest-based trivia questions.
The question cards are colored green, and the answer cards for that question are directly behind them and they are colored in blue. What I also liked is that just in case you can’t remember that the answer cards are directly behind the question cards, they have the same matching bug picture on both the question card and the corresponding answer card.

This game is certainly full of bug questions & answers that I never knew of!
Which pest can hold its breath for 40 minutes?
Do mosquitos have teeth?
Can bedbugs spread viral diseases such as Hepatitis C?
Which has more muscles- caterpillars or humans?
This is a neat and interesting trivia deck exclusively on pests. I certainly have not seen one like this before. We really enjoyed the uniqueness behind this. My husband will be putting it in his classroom to encourage his students to read and learn some unique new facts about bugs! They also have a site for kids at Pest World for Kids where you can find pest games, science fair kits, lesson plans, report writing, pest facts, and even send a virtual pestcard to a friend! They also have a video contest where you can win $3000 for your school!
You can find Pest Quest to buy on the NPMA website!

  1. My least favorite is centipedes. Well all bugs are a bit icky, in my opinion. But the kids love that I don't like em.

  7. While I hate all pests the one I hate the most is roaches. Just seeing one is enough to make me go running and screaming. Thankfully I haven't seen one in yrs and never ever in my own house thank goodness.

I also liked your fb page.

I dislike all pest, but if I had to pick one it would be spiders. What would I do if I won this, use it with my 4 boys at home and take to school to use with the kids there.

I am also a fan on FB, and following you on twitter(momoffourboys).

  10. My least favorite pest is the scorpion. I just found one climbing up the wall in the hallway. This is so much better than when one passed me while I was grading papers on the floor. I would give this book to my 8 year old nephew as it seems like something that he would truly enjoy. It is certain that he will be sharing this information with everyone with whom he comes in contact.
