Dinosaur Train New Episode!!!

As most of you know I am quite the fan of Dinosaur Train! It is an educationally packed show for kids which teaches them all about dinosaurs and the different time periods in which they lived. Dinosaur Train is roaring into 2011 with an all-new episode premiering Monday, January 17 on PBS KIDS (check local listings).

 

In the all-new episode, “The Good Mom;” “Diamond Anniversary,” Mrs. Pteranodon meets fellow mom Millie Maiasaura, who is a little too over-protective of her kids. The two moms share some time comparing mothering methods in a play date at the Big Pond.  And, Mr. and Mrs. Pteranodon decide to surprise each other with gifts on their anniversary.
Millie Maiasaura was a large duck-billed dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous. There is evidence that Maisaura lived in large nesting colonies and that the parents diligently cared for their young!
 There is also a DINOSAUR TRAIN interactive website at PBSKIDS.org/dinosaurtrain. Buddy, Tiny and Mr. Conductor guide children as they discover natural history and the science of paleontology through fun games and activities!
At Kohl’s they have “Dinosaur Train Striped Footed Pajamas.” The dinosaur appliques and striped pattern on these footed pajamas offer timeless touches, and the footed design keep toes toasty. They are available in sizes 2T-5T. How cute are these?? What a special treat it would be to buy for your little one & snuggle up for Dinosaur Train’s new episode on Sunday!!!

    I like the troodon (I think I spelled that right!) who is the conductor of the train. My little guy like him the best and he seems to have all of the facts. I know my toddler doesn't understand much about dinosaurs right now, but he's learning the names of dinosaurs and can tell you what they are in a context other than the show. What a great idea to mix two very unlikely, yet well-loved, things – dinosaurs & trains – into one show.
