I had the fantastic opportunity to try out one of these Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpeners earlier this year (you can read my review here) and absolutely loved them! My husband, an elementary school teacher, loved them even more! Why? Because these manual pencil sharpeners not only have an automatic “stop sharpening” feature which is awesome, but they are also the absolutely quietest sharpeners ever! No more cringing when students get up to sharpen their pencils a thousand times a day! You can watch this video to see exactly how this sharpener works, and how quiet it is!

The Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener works with standard sized pencils and colored pencils as well. It is very sturdy (metal frame) so you don’t have to worry about it breaking when your students knock it off of your desk! Plus it can be used as a portable sharpener or a mounted sharpener. I love the “stop sharpening” feature. Not only does it save money by not over-sharpening your pencils, but it also saves a teacher’s sanity when they are concerned about students poking each other with pencils that are too sharp!
This pencil sharpener is known for being very quiet. My husband allows his students to use it in the classroom, and he doesn’t even know when they are sharpening their pencils because it is so quiet! We have been very impressed with this product and the price is also very impressive as well! The sharpener is only $19.95 with free shipping which is a really great price considering that it’s virtually indestrucable!

  11. I am actually the proud owner of a few of these sharpeners! I have one at home and a couple at school. Both of mine are green- I wish they had the blue one as an option when I got mine-= I could have designated one for regular pencils and one for colored pencils… Whoever wins these will be very pleased!

  101. I have been wanting one of these sharpeners for so long. Now days the pencils are so cheap that they break off in the sharpeners at school. I've bought many electric sharpeners and they never last long as they dull and stop sharpening. I really need these for my students. The car one is cute but I would take any! I do think I'll order one for class and for home.
