The cat’s out of the bag….errrr alien monster? Remember that Top Secret box I received this morning? Well I’ve been given the GO AHEAD to share this super fun new toy from Educational Insights with you! It’s part of their brand new product line which will be available on January 1, 2012.
Meet Kai.
HELLO KAI!
Munch munch munch. Thanks to my kids imaginations….Kai was very hungry when he came out of our box. He wanted to eat my shirt, plastic bags, hair, and even my camera strap! Do you know how hard it was to take a picture of Kai while he was eating my camera??
BUT my kids loved him anyways – even with his voracious appetite. Kai is one of Educational Insight’s new puppet sticks. There will be 3 – Kai, Lex, and Fez (he’s one eyed!). You can’t really see it in the picture here but you might notice how my son is holding it – there is a push button on the back of the stick which makes Kai’s mouth move up and down. My 2 year old has no problems working it. It reminded me of those dino grabbers you see in a museum gift store but MUCH better quality! My kids are forever begging me for those when we go to the zoo – I’m glad to have a better alternative!
So what exactly can Kai do other than eat a lot?
You can play the staring game with him.
You can talk to him and tell him a story. He’s a good listener.
And if you swing him around a bit – he doesn’t even get dizzy!
Seriously – kid’s imaginations are amazing and limitless. My boys literally played with this for hours and only stopped because it was nap time. As soon as they woke up again they were looking for their “frog” Kai! They spent the morning talking to him, running around with him, chasing each other with him, playing hide and seek with him, making silly faces at him, and a ton more! You can purchase the entire Puppets on a Stick collection on Amazon or Educational Insights.
