Thrift Store Thursday & Link UP! – What did we find this week?

This week at the thrift store I found this nice little wooden rack (not the puzzles that are on it – I already had those!) for just $1.99 at the thrift store. I was initially wanting to buy it for the huge stack of puzzles which were all over the floor in my basement, but if the puzzles didn’t fit I was going to put it next to our back door for the kids to put their shoes on since we are ALWAYS losing their shoes! I was more than thrilled to find out when I got home that ALL of our puzzles fit nicely on it!! It’s absolutely PERFECT. The closest thing I’ve seen to a puzzle holder like this is this Melissa and Doug one which runs almost $40 (totally overpriced in my opinion!) and ONLY holds 12 puzzles! The little rack I found is the perfect size for puzzles and can easily hold about 30 puzzles on it!! I am thrilled! I was so sick of seeing tons of puzzles and pieces all over the floor that I donated about 70% of my nice wooden puzzles to my husband’s school – just so that I didn’t have to look at them anymore!! This works great and can be used for many different things when we decide to get rid of the rest of our puzzles.

  1. I thought of you the other day when I picked up 2 pairs of tennis shoes for a $1 total. It feels so good to find a bargain at the thrift store!

  2. I am new to thrift stores. I just haven’t found the right one yet; however your stories are inspiring me to get out there more often.
