I caught your interest didn’t I with a “Pumping Heart”!!! Yeah it caught my interest too! The DAY after I had taught a sheep heart dissection class at our school I found this awesome tool at the thrift store! (Why oh WHY couldn’t I have found it a day earlier?!) Anyway, it was only 2 bucks and is a superb hands-on demonstration for the circulatory system for kids! The tubes all hook up onto the white plastic frame (labeled accordingly to which side of the lung it passes) and after the red liquid has been placed into the heart system you can squeeze the “bulb” at the bottom and watch the flow of liquid! It was a pretty neat set up and a great price!
What steals have you found at the thrift store lately? Don’t forget to check out our co-hosts finds at Fun Finds for Families and Sippy Cup Mom! Link up your blog post below or hashtag #ThriftStoreThursday on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
Get out! That’s the kind of deal that’ll make your heart skip a beat! Ha! Seriously, though… what a wonderful teaching tool and for only a couple dollars. That’ll be a great addition to any classroom (or for home lessons).
