PetSmart’s Halloween Costumes & Toys for Dogs

Hehehe – although my dog loves her Halloween costume from PetSmart I’m not so sure she loves giving this Cheshire cat a piggy back ride! 🙂 You guys know Jenny, our shelter rescue that we took home last year around this time! She likes to temporarily terrorize chase our cats because she is so playful so I thought it would be fun to give her a little taste of her own medicine and turn her into a cat for Halloween!
I was SO incredibly excited to meet up and have breakfast with some of the PetSmart team while I was in Chicago at BlogHer a few months ago. They had a wonderful display of some of their new Halloween product lines. All of the breakfast tables had absolutely ADORABLE halloween monsters on them and they even brought in a little guinea pig mascot! Since I love my animals and I LOVE Halloween I was really excited to check them all out!
How absolutely ADORABLE are these little Halloween dog toys?!!? These are just two toys from the Martha Stewart Halloween dog toy line – they are SO cute I knew even my kids would play with them! And check out some of these new Disney Halloween costumes at PetSmart!
I have never been much of a “dress your dog” up kind of person but I have to admit – these Disney costumes are SUPER cute! I grew up within an hour of Disney and am a sucker for anything Disney related.
The Cheshire Cat costume is really cute and made of really good quality material. It definitely won’t be getting torn up anytime soon! I chose the large size for my petite German Shepherd but I feel like it’s just a touch too small. It velcros under her belly and under her neck and stays on nice and snugly. The velcro straps are really good and don’t come off ever! And the costume itself stays right where I put it and doesn’t fall off of the side of her.
Jenny actually really seems to enjoy wearing her costume quite a bit! I think she likes the snuggly soft “blanket” on the top of her!
And of course there is a small unnoticeable hole in the top of the costume for your leash to attach to your dog’s collar.

I adopted my dog Day-Z this year from the local shelter. She is a Jack Russell Terrier with one eye. Day-Z is the happiest dog I have ever met. I love her.
