Ideas & Tips for Recycling your Christmas Tree

Not sure what to do with your live Christmas tree now that the holidays are over? Check your city to see if they have a Christmas tree recycling program! (try checking Earth911 too!)
Donate it to a goat farm! No kidding – goats LOVE munching on Christmas trees and will eat almost the entire thing except for the trunk! Google it!
Check Craigslist – sometimes people are looking for after Christmas trees to use for various occasions.
Make Your own Mulch! (sometimes city programs will recycle them for this reason)
Cut off branches & make garland/decor from them to dry and decorate with.

I never knew that you could use it for the influenza vaccine.
Are you donating yours to the goat farm? I know there's one within a mile of G.E. I don't think they'd like our plastic one though. lol
Jennifer unfortunately we don't have a live tree either LOL. It's cheaper to have a fake one (and easier on my kids allergies!!). But I have been thinking of that goat farm down the road!! I saw a Christmas tree on the side of the road and thought about taking it down there but when I went back it was gone!
Just this morning I heard on the news about donating your trees to a goat farm! What a great idea!
We donate ours to the boy scouts…not sure what they do with all the treese they collect, but they haul it away and its convienent!
we are chopping ours up for our fire pit (just can’t cook over it)
