Donating School Supplies in the Community

Every year Elmer’s has a great program called “Bag it Forward” – a program to help get school supplies into the hands of those who need them. This year 50 bloggers (including me!!) have the opportunity to join with Elmer’s and kick off this great program! Tonight I’ll be going to Walmart to buy a book bag full of school supplies, and then I’ll be donating them to our local school for children on the autistic spectrum. I’m so excited to be able to help them out in such a small way as they have a fantastic crew working over there.
Elmer’s is also hosting a Virtual Bag It Forward Donation. The virtual donation will begin on July 25. By simply sharing a virtual bag with a friend via blogs, we can work together to raise money for Adopt-A-Classroom! More details to come as I find out more!
Tomorrow or Friday I will be posting more about my experience with Bag It Forward and the great program Elmer’s kicks off at the beginning of every school year!
