I thought these Twist and Spell Exercise Cards from Roylco were such a cute idea but I had NO idea how much fun they would be to do with my kids – they absolutely loved them!! Need a little break in your classroom? Get your kids up and have them stretch out and exercise their ABC’s!
The set comes with 48 cards and show not only the letter of the alphabet but also a picture of a kid stretching in the shape of that letter. The bright colors are appealing and the cards are quite large which makes it easy for children in the back of the classroom to see!
Even my 3 year old joined in and had a blast making letters with his body! I was surprised at how much coordination it took for a few of these letters – some of them were tough!!
OK – so “X” is an easy one! PHEW!
We are in the middle of packing our house up so thankfully we had cleared out almost our entire living room for our exercises. You can see how much fun my kids had with these flashcards – they smiled and laughed all the way through them! They enjoyed the challenge of trying to match the cards and recognizing the letters by just watching the stretch of the other person. Not only can you stretch out letters but you can also put short words together too!
SO it was a little hard to get my boys to stay still long enough to snap a photo but we sure had a lot of fun stretching into words! These are fantastic exercises not only to get up and moving but it really helps to strengthen letter and word recognition and spelling in an ultra fun way!
I highly suggest laminating these cards if you buy them to make them last a longer time. They are very nice and glossy on one side but knowing me I would probably set them in something wet or spill something on them! I highly recommend this set – it is very easy to see from the back of a classroom and is brightly colored. We LOVE this set and look forward to using it at our new school/home!
