Oh man some of my best childhood memories were from going to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus as a child. I loved everything about it and my mom would take us every year! From the smell of the hay in the building, the death-defying acrobatic tight rope walkers and trapeeze swingers, the LOUD but absolutely incredible motorcyclists in the giant cage, actually getting to walk next to the famous clowns – it was pretty surreal as a kid. Even now as an adult I’m amazed by their bravery and talent during the circus. In fact I’ll never forget that I was so enthralled one year that my mom bought us one of those HUGE circus books with the big photos of all of the acts from the circus. I remember spending HOURS with that thing…..I might even still have it somewhere!
