Mobile Apps & Tips for Black Friday Shopping

It’s almost here – that crazy frenzy time of year called Black Friday! But to be honest the deals have already begun and the frenzy is about to bust out! Although I do most of my Black Friday shopping online I know many of you shop in stores! A recent U.S. Cellular survey shows that 39% of their smartphone  customers use their cellphones for shopping (including me!). They’ve shared with me a few mobile apps that are great for organizing your deal hunting this week while out and about. This year I will actually be on a road trip through most of this upcoming weekend so I will be relying a LOT on my mobile device to snag those great prices and keep an eye on comparing the sales from store to store. It will definitely help give me more time with my family and feel less stressed about finding the best deals. Here are a few apps to help:
Black Friday App – This app allows shoppers to not only browse through leaked Black Friday ads on their mobile but it also allows users to compare prices between online prices and local stores! If you are on the go a lot this app is crucial to keeping up with the best deals available.
CardStar App – This app is especially handy if you have rewards cards at various locations. Instead of having to dig through each reward card in your wallet you can just enter them all into this app which will automatically pull up the bar code for the cashier to scan at the register. Honestly this is a great year-round app as I am always losing my rewards cards! They take up so much room in my wallet and are bulky so this is a great way to cut down on that!
Amazon Mobile App – This is my absolutely must have shopping app and I use it ALL the time. When you’re in stores shopping you can use this app to scan the barcode on a product and see what the comparative price is on Amazon. There are countless times when I find it cheaper on Amazon which helps me to not only save money but make a smarter purchase. I am constantly price comparing – especially during the holiday season.
Shop It To Me App – This app is exclusively for iphone users and helps you to find the best deals on your favorite clothes brands online.
Don’t forget that U.S. Cellular now has the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c available, as well as iPad Air with wifi+US Cellular! I know my husband is getting pretty ancy to switch out his smartphone for an iPhone so he can sync it with his work computers! More info here!
