Elmer’s CrayonPro Crayon Sharpener Review
Xacto sent me the Elmer’s CrayonPro Electric Pencil Sharpener to review and I have to say, my husband and I were EXTREMELY impressed! EVERY teacher that has crayons in their class NEEDS this sharpener! I’m not kidding! I love this crayon sharpener and highly highly suggest it to any preschool/elementary teacher for their classroom!
First, the storage container for the crayon shavings is pretty huge. Lots of room for lots of crayons to sharpen!
Here are a few crayons BEFORE I sharpened them….
Here are the crayons AFTER I sharpened them. Not only are the tips just as pointy as a new box of crayons, but one of my favorite features is that the CrayonPro Sharpener automatically unpeels the crayon paper back and sharpens it. You do NOT have to peel off the paper in order to use the sharpener! The CrayonPro Sharpener does it all for you!! This was a HUGE bonus for me (and any other teacher) – no more wasted time on peeling back paper for hours and getting crayon chunks stuck underneath your fingernails!! I sharpened both the regular use side AND the flat end here so that you can see the results.
Here is an up-close picture of one crayon sharpened on both sides using the CrayonPro Sharpener.
The CrayonPro is very easy to open up, so that you can clean the blade out inside the machine. Just pop it right open to get to the insides.
Included with the CrayonPro Crayon Sharpener is a handy little cleaning brush for cleaning out the blade from crayon sharpenings and paper.
And the PERFECT place to keep this tiny little brush is stuck on a holding spot on the bottom of the sharpener! You can’t lose it there!! And look at the 4 black suction cup feet. When you put this sharpener on your desk it is NOT going anywhere- these suction feet really do a fantastic job at keeping the sharpener in place. Which is really great because you can allow your students to sharpen their own crayons, without worrying that clumsy little hands will knock the sharpener off of your desk and break it or make a mess!
I wish that every teacher could have a CrayonPro Sharpener in their classroom. This has got to be one of my favorite classroom supplies. The CrayonPro totally took me by surprise and I fell in love with! I definetely recommend this product- it is worth the investment if you use crayons in your classroom!
You can buy this product at any major office supply store (Staples, Office Depot, etc.) and on Amazon.
I love this! This is actually what I said I would want in addition to the Teacher Pro Sharpener in that giveaway! I don't know that it would get used terribly often in class but it would definitely get used! It's incredible to me how poorly middle schoolers take care of crayons compared to younger children. And last year, I had a few students who thought they should sharpen crayons in my regular sharpener and made that unusable.
I also follow your blog, Twitter, and Facebook accounts.
I would like to have the smaller paper cutter. I could really use that! Thanks for all these teacher giveaways!
I'd love to have the Platinum Heavy Duty too.

I would like to have the heavy duty stand up stapler. Mine always seem to get broke, this one looks like it would last through the kiddos use!
I also follow your blog.
I could really use a new, QUIET electric pencil sharpener…the Teacher Pro looks like a nice one!
I would LOVE the X-ACTO DESIGNER SERIES CIRCLE CUTTER! I can't tell you how many times this would have come in handy, even in the last week.
I'm a new follower to your blog. 🙂
Fun for the classroom-
I would also like to have an electric pencil sharpener.
I follow your blog, Facebook, and twitter.
Thanks,

If I could get anything from Xacto it would be the X-ACTO Designer Series rotary trimmer
I just found your blog tonight 🙂 I love it and all your hard work, I also sent a friend request on Facebook :O)

The crayon sharpener would be SUCH a wonderful gift for our art teacher, but I personally would love the 9" guillotine style trimmer. Compact enough to leave on my desk rather than lugging out our huge (and not-so-sharp) version
I follow via google connect.
I would love to have this more than anything else! But since the entry is something else, the metal rotary trimmer would also be fantastic!

Im entering this for my husband, he teaches middle school science and coaches sports, and is watching me while I type this, lol.
He says that this would be amazing in his classroom, because he's tired of the kids trying to use the excuse that they can't color in their charts because their crayons broke then trying to sharpen in the little sharpners.
He also wants the three hole punch to better orgainze papers in his binders.
I would love to have the XACTO Trimmers. Anything in that category. I am always needing to cut my papers in half and what a convenience it would be to have this handy IN my classroom, as opposed to walking all the way to the copy room!
I hope I win the crayon sharpener though!
Love your site by the way!
I'd love this or the teacher pro electric sharpener.
I follow your blog. 🙂
This crayon sharpener would be great in my first grade classroom! The other item I like from Xacto is the Platinum Stand Up Heavy Duty Stapler! Thanks for your site….I love it!!
