Crayola and Doodle 4 Google have teamed up to bring a special competition for K-12 students to make their own version of Google’s logo by using the theme “If I could travel in time, I’d visit…..” There is no limit on what type of medium they can use – pencils, crayons, markers, etc. The fifty State Finalists will win an all-expense-paid trip to New York City, where the National Winner of this year’s contest will be announced. The prizes for the National Winner are pretty exciting. In addition to becoming the first ever piece of art to appear on the Crayola 64 Box, the winner’s doodle will also hang in the ultimate on-line art gallery… Google’s home page! The winning doodler also takes home a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant and $5,000 of Crayola products for their school.
