Are you raising chickens for the first time? Maybe your class is hatching chicks and you’re not sure what to do? You may want to read our post about raising baby chicks. We’ve had over 100 chickens and they are surprisingly easy to care for! If you are hatching eggs in an incubator make sure you invest in a good incubator!

*I HIGHLY recommend buying an egg candler – especially if you are hatching chicks with a classroom. This will allow you, and your students, to check the eggs and see if they are growing chicks!

*Here are some of my favorite Chicken Life Cycle models and kits to buy! I LOVE the Learning Resources Life Cycle Egg set! It’s the PERFECT way for your kids and students to follow along each day and see how big the chicks are growing on a 3D model. If you’re just learning about chicks and not raising them you’ll probably want this 3D life cycle set which also works great for small sensory bins.

I love your chicken life cycle story.
Would you be willing to make it shareable so I can include it in my weekly plans. I do not have access to a printer. My district is printing the plans I send and mailing things to my students weekly.
