Update: We have had this Blast Zone Superstar Inflatable Party Moonwalk Bounce House Review up for almost 10 years now! HOLY SMOKES! And what’s even more incredible is we STILL HAVE THIS bounce house and use it! It’s absolutely FANTASTIC so I obviously recommend buying this bounce house instead of renting a bounce house! Original review + videos below:
I contacted Blast Zone to see if they would be willing to allow me to do a review of one of their bouncy houses and they generously agreed. I know many of you have kids or run daycares and would be very interested in these as well! I was looking for something where my two extremely energetic boys could literally just bounce themselves into oblivion and still hold up to consistent use.
Most of you know my oldest has a sensory disorder so to him this (although extremely fun!) would also be a sort of therapy for him. I chose Blast Zone’s Superstar Inflatable Party Moonwalk Bouncy House mainly because of the size. I didn’t want something small that my son would feel confined in or cooped up in as he doesn’t like to be restricted….or even worse – jump over the sides!
I was actually looking at Blast Zone’s Play Palace Inflatable Bounce House but my husband wanted something just a little bit bigger, and for the price difference I’m glad we chose the Superstar! At the time it was about the same price.

The inflatable bouncer actually arrived the first day we were in Chicago for our grandpa’s funeral, so we had to wait a whole week to check it out! But let me tell you how incredibly thankful I was that it was waiting at home for us when we arrived after our long road trip that took 21 hours! Eager to let our kids run off their cooped up energy we tore the box open quickly and got started!
First we laid the bouncer out in the backyard which was simple to do. It only took a minute to pull it out. A huge plus for the kids – this large bouncer took under 1 minute to fully inflate!! You can see this in the video below – I couldn’t believe how simple it was to do!

It seemed like any other bouncer I have been in before till I started looking a little bit closer. On the front of the netting there were cute stars sewn on in such a way that there is no way my kids can pull them off! Then I crawled into the bouncer (even though I am clearly over the weight limit!) and I was shocked.
I saw that my kids weren’t bouncing quite as high as I was expecting them to bounce, but I also noticed right away how thick and sturdy the bouncer floor is! The floor is 13′ x 13′ and made with interwoven oxford cloth which is the same material that is used for the large commercial bouncers you see at carnivals. There is also an inner air membrane which allows air to be released as the kids bounce on it.

When I looked at Blast Zone’s Superstar bouncer on Amazon I noticed that the front opening didn’t close which concerned me a little bit since I knew my kids would bounce right out, but when we set ours up it had a velcro strip (like is shown on Blast Zone’s website) which can be closed for the entrance. I liked that much better!
The Superstar Bouncer comes with the blower motor which is very simple to operate. Just attach it to the bounce house, plug it in, and push the ON button! On the front of the bouncer is also the “warning” label which is actually nice for quick reference. I don’t have to try and remember what the weight/kid limit is! (The Superstar holds up to 5 kids and 100 pounds per user.)

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that my kids have been in heaven using this bouncer! I think any kid would love a bouncer, but I appreciated the heavy duty quality of the materials used because I know it will last for a long time. Have you ever looked at the price to rent a bouncer? It is a far better choice to purchase one than to rent one – they are almost the same price!!
Knowing how crazy my kids get in the bouncer I was worried at first that they would bounce over the side or push the side walls down but after watching them in it a while I didn’t have a problem with it at all. Even if my son jumps up and tries to hang on the side wall (which I don’t let him do!) I still don’t think he could get out. And when they jumped into the side wall they pretty much just bounced back into the floor.

Another thing that I liked about this bouncer is that I could use it as long as I wanted. That may sound weird but we looked at purchasing a bouncer last year and it actually said in the instructions that you could only use the motor for 20 minutes at a time and then let it rest for an hour. Seriously?! Have you ever had to tell a kid that he could only jump for 20 minutes then the bouncer was getting put away? I can’t imagine that it would be a pretty site!
So we knew that this bouncer was great for the kids outdoors – but what about when it got cold? We have a relatively small house but we thought we would bring the bouncer indoors to see how it would work. Well….
…..the bouncer ate my living room! Hahaha! My house is way too small for this bouncer – isn’t that crazy?! BUT you can put this bouncer indoors if you have room!! It was lower than my ceiling, but since it rested on my walls I did not feel safe letting my kids jump in there and bang into the walls! Included with the bouncer is stakes to use outside and sand bags to use indoors. If you have a good sized basement or open area in your house you could definitely put this inside.

Here are the links to a few other videos that I took:
Blast Zone’s Superstar Inflatable Party Moonwalk Bounce House is very user friendly and very simple to set up and take down. It fits nicely in this storage bag and is pretty heavy and large to store. But we have had no problems putting this away and setting it up every day for the kids to use in the back. It is an investment that you won’t regret.
This really doesn’t have anything to do with the bouncer itself but I enjoyed just sitting and watching my boys, two brothers, be best friends. They literally spent about 6 hours in the bouncer the first day we pulled it out and every time they run out there together there is no fighting or squabbles.
They are best buds and they are creating memories together. Not to be cheesy but it really is priceless! They get to bond better and wear a massive amount of energy out and mommy is happy watching knowing that they will sleep good at night!
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this review. I have the opportunity to participate in a program where the cost of the bouncer may be reimbursed. All opinions are my own.

Check out that bouncer in your house! I am SO jealous! That is super awesome. I've always thought that owning one would be great. We rent a bouncer /moonwalk for just about every birthday party here at the house and we've probably paid enough in rental fees to purchase 2-3! LOL

Looks like your little guys are having a blast! How awesome that you got to review this! What a great company.

Thanks so much for sharing. I always love how detailed your reviews are and how many different forms of media you include.

  8. How fun!! I've been to birthday parties where they rented a bounce house, and they're always a big hit!

  9. Wow, that is super cool. The price is actually not bad either. My MIL rents a bounce house every summer when all the grandkids are over. This thing would pay for itself really fast.
