Surprise Your Friends with a Mars Boo Bag!

So I applied to join in the #DontBeTheDarkHouse campaign and surprise a fellow Social Fabric Community friend with a special BOO Bag filled with Snickers and other Mars chocolates! The only thing better than receiving a surprise boo bag is actually making one for someone else!! I can’t say just yet who I sent this to since she hasn’t received it in the mail yet – it’s a secret!! But I love paying it forward and making someone else smile. So I went to Walmart looking for the Snicker’s mini candies but I could only find a very HUGE bag of mixed Mars candies -including the Snicker’s mini candies. A HUGE 4 pound bag of chocolate – so that is what I decided to send to my friend!

So why did I choose this particular Social Fabric community member to surprise? I have been blogging for over a year now, and this past summer was my very first conference that I attended with other bloggers. I love “meeting” bloggers and readers online, but even cooler than that was attending a conference where I actually got to meet my bloggy buddies in real life!! Putting a face behind the names was so nice for me! She was the first one I met in real life since I started blogging and we had a great day at the conference together! I wanted to send a smile along her way and what better way to do that then a surprise package of chocolate!!

LOOK AT ALL THAT CHOCOLATE!!!! And YEP – I sent her every single piece!!! ALL 5 pounds of it – and I didn’t eat a single one!! And to make it a little more fun I didn’t even put my name in the box! I love being able to send gifts to a friend as a surprise, but I thought it would be super fun to add a little mystery into the mix – so I let her know I was a Social Fabric buddy but other than that she’ll have to see this post to find out it was me!!

I quickly realized that the gift bag I had bought could not possibly hold all of the Mars chocolate I had bought for her! Look how the bag is bulging! But I didn’t have time to go back to the store just to exchange for a bigger gift bag, so I did the next best thing…

I placed the BOO Bag in the shipping box, and then poured the rest of the candy all over it!! 🙂 So not only will she open up a huge box of chocolate, but she’ll find a cute BOO bag underneath all of this chocolate – filled with EVEN MORE chocolate!!! Now you can’t tell me you wouldn’t have a HUGE smile on your face if you received 6 pounds of chocolate in the mail!!!! 🙂 I’m sure her son is going to go nuts when he sees all of this candy!!
