Throwing a birthday party? Does your child have a character that they just can’t live without? Buy one or 2 character-themed decorations (OR even use current toys/plush animals!) and then buy all of your balloons, plates, and napkins in the colors of the theme. This can save a bundle- especially if you’re having a good-sized party! We had a Blues Clues party when my son turned one and we bought 2 plush animals on Craigslist, and then simply tied blue birthday balloons around them and used them as centerpieces! Print out coloring sheets and let the kids color them-then decorate the house!
