Literature Monday – Magic Treehouse Books

Today’s Literature Monday favorite pick is by my hubby who is a 2nd grade teacher.
He loves the Magic Tree House books written by Mary Pope Osborne. There are a few written by both her husband and her sister as well.
Mary Pope Osborne writes historical fiction books which captivate young children into history. Every book of hers occurs at a specific time of day. Jack & Annie are the main characters, and they can jump into books to bring them to life. The Magic Tree House books are early chapter books which are great for mid-elementary level readers. There are at least 40 different books in the series.

    My kids (7 and 10) LOVE the Magic Treehouse books. And don't forget the "research guides" that go along with many of the books – my kids find those almost as much fun as the storybooks. And the audio versions are terrific for long car rides – even my husband enjoys listening to them!
