Ladybug Party Invitation

We’re having a LADYBUG birthday party for my son this weekend and so I decided to make his birthday invitations! I do not scrapbook, I am not good on creative details, and my sides are all crooked, but here is the ladybug invitation I made! I bought red and black card stock paper at Michael’s craft store with their 40% off coupons. (paid under $5 for both packs total) I used my fancy new Xacto PivotCut Rotary Trimmer to help me cut the edges. I made a black bug body , and then matching red ladybug wings. I already had brads and googly eyes at home. I punched a tiny hole for the brad at the top of the wings where I overlapped them, and punched the brad through both wings and the black body. I had a large hole puncher to punch out the black ladybug spots which I attached with Elmer’s Extreme Glue Stick. I added the eyes. And voila- a ladybug with wings you can pull out! Underneath the red wings, on the black body (not shown here) I pasted a small paper which I printed out from my computer informing our party guests of the details.
