  1. I live in MI but will be IN for a wedding, could I shop and qualify?

    1. The IN means in-store purchases, versus online purchases. It doesn’t stand for a specific state 🙂

    2. Pretty sure the IN means in-store not on line.

    3. I think it means in store purchases only, not purchases made online.

  2. I wonder if this includes if we are using a purchase order for some supplies our district is paying for us or just those we pay with our own money?

    1. I was curious about parent purchases. If they would allow us to give our receipts to our student’s teacher.? I was a teacher for 14 years and every penny helps.

  3. Our Walmart does not have checkouts at either one of these departments

    1. Ours doesn’t either. After reading the fine print on the official site, it would appear that these are the departments that will qualify for the discount. All other departments are excluded….but it appears you could physically “check out” anywhere.

    2. I think they are just saying that you get items from that area not that you have to check out there. No walmart that I am aware of actually has check outs in that department 🙂

Now if the NC General Assembly would just give us a 10% pay raise, WOW!

  5. Mary Silverwind says:

Thank you for letting us know. Even though my school supplies us at the beginning of the year, I still make sure to have enough paper and pencils on hand for the rest of the year. This will help greatly.

  6. Rosa Fierro says:

Great help!!!! We spend so much through the year !!!

  7. Christina says:

My Walmart doesn’t have a cashier in the craft/stationary section. It’s either the front, electronics, or jewelry.

    1. Bertha Hensley says:

I think it just means items found in the stationary and craft areas. Not the checkout areas.

  8. Maryann Williams says:

    Thank you Walmart.

  9. What about pre-k and kindergarten teachers?! We have to buy classroom supplies as well! In fact, pre-k teachers probably buy the most school supplies!

  10. Karin J Saywell says:

That is so nice, but guess who bought all of her supplies on July 8!!! I needed to make sure I was able to get all the different colors needed in large numbers. Don’t suppose they could honor the deal?
    .. Happy shopping ya all..

I wonder if they will include homeschool as well. Mom’s are teachers too. We just teach at home.

Went to Wal-Mart today, they know nothing about an upcoming 10 percent discount for teachers. 7/24/14 Las Vegas NV
