I’ve been sharing some delicious and quick meal ideas as our family is looking for ways to make some quick meals during the holidays. Hillshire Farm has these new Grilled Essentials pre-cooked (and flavored!) chicken breast that we found at Walmart’s deli meats section. I didn’t know that you could buy pre-cooked chicken breasts that were NOT frozen before! We wanted to make a pasta casserole dish very quickly so we bought a few boxes of pasta, a few boxes of this Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials Italian Style Chicken Breast, some cheese, alfredo sauce, and mushrooms. We bought enough to double the batch and freeze one for a quick dinner later!
Ingredients Needed:
2 Boxes of Pasta (any style)
2 Boxes of Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials (any flavor desired)
2 bags of mozzerella cheese
1-3 mushroom caps
alfredo sauce
Parmesan cheese
Directions:
The prep is very minimal. Just cook pasta per instructions on the box, slice up your mushrooms, and slice up your Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials chicken! Once the pasta is done cooking pour the water out and put the cooked noodles into one or two casserole dishes depending on whether or not you are making an extra meal to freeze for later.

On top of the noodles add the Hillshire Farm Grilled Essential chicken strips, strips of mushrooms, and mozzerella cheese. You can also add Parmesan cheese if desired. If you have made an extra meal cover it, label it, and stick in the freezer!

For the dish you are cooking for dinner just pop into the oven and bake at 325* for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is browned on top! Doesn’t it look delicious? It’s already making me hungry!!! We made this over the holidays when we had company in and it was a hit! Not only was it absolutely delicious but it was very simple and quick to make leaving more time to spend with our friends and family. The Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials chicken was the perfect addition to this dish. Not only did it add a meat in but it was so juicy and the flavor was just perfect!! It didn’t overpower it but you could taste it – even our guests commented on how good the chicken was!

I hate taking the extra time to have to cook and cut chicken so this was such a relief for me!! All I had to do with the Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials chicken was open the package and slice it up! It certainly was MUCH quicker and more flavorful than the chicken I normally make! The price was pretty reasonable and I would buy it again for a quick meal like this.
