Peaceable Kingdom has these NEW Cooperative Learning games that are just SO cute and awesome for helping kids learn to play as a team!! They very generously sent me one of each game for my husband’s school to try out! The teachers all LOVED these games! Not only are the games very brightly colored and attractive, the kids (and teachers!) loved the friendly cartoon figures. So what exactly is a ‘cooperative game’?
A cooperative game is a game where ALL players play TOGETHER to meet a common goal, or in this case- win the game! Instead of the traditional games where you play indiviually to win, everyone has to play together to win- you either ALL win or you ALL lose!
As you can see there are 5 different games,Count Your Chickens (my fav!),Stone Soup (my hubby’s fav!), Hoot Owl Hoot, Mermaid Island, and Lost Puppies. Throughout March I will be posting reviews of each individual games- but our teachers loved these game SO much that they wish their ENTIRE school (not to mention district) ALL had their own classroom games……
In fact, a few of them even my 3 year old could play with me!! We liked “Count Your Chickens” the best (although they are all great!) because we have chickens, and most all kids love farm animals.
A few comments from the teachers:
“I knew my kids didn’t get along, but these games showed me how awful they treated each other. We have a lot of work to do- these games are perfect!”
“As a teacher of 30+ years I have never seen such enticing colorful children’s games that actually teach them to work together- what a fabulous idea!”
“I wish our entire school had these games- our students really need to learn to work together.”
There will be more to come throughout the next month!! In the meantime you can check out Peaceable Kingdom website & Facebook pages to find out more of the other great products that they have to offer!
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. All opinions are 100% mine.
WOW! Those sound like GREAT Games for schools. I think those would be perfect classroom gifts! I will definitely have to check them out!
These look like fun. These would be great at our regular play date. Thanks for sharing.
