Pretty much as soon as the back to school season has settled down and the cold weather looms ahead I eagerly look forward to fall festivities and holiday happenings! I’ve just finished up my big vegetable gardening and mad canning skills for the season and over the next month I’ll be making a plethora of apple pies and pumpkin pies in preparation for the rest of the year! I usually bake about 8 or so of each and freeze them – it saves me SO much time during the holidays and of course we’ve got great desserts to share with friends year-round until the next year when I go crazy baking again! That leaves me a lot more time to bake those holiday cookies with my kids each year! The last thing I want to have to worry about is not having my appliances work so any time one of ours starts to die I turn to our closest Best Buy to see what appliances they have in their showroom. We recently replaced our washing machine at Best Buy and now we’ve got our eye on a new range and fridge. Things tend to go in 3’s right?

Best Buy carries an AMAZING appliance from Frigidaire – the FGIF3061NF (photo above) which allows you to boil water in LESS than 2 minutes PLUS the induction makes sure that spills don’t burn on! Insane right?! Or maybe you’d prefer the Whirlpool WGG555S0BS below which features a DOUBLE oven allowing you to cook two dishes and two different temperatures at the same time. I kind of wish I could have both!! Hah! I LOVE the option for double cooking but the perks to that Frigidaire really catch me too!

When you’re cooking for the holidays the last thing you need to worry about is whether or not your meal or desserts will cook properly on an old appliance! Trust me – I’ve been there done that! I remember one year our stove was going but we just kept trying to use it and stretch it out before buying a new one……it was a choice we totally regretted! Not only did I have more than a handful of meals ruined and not cooked resulting in trips out for dinner but it would have saved us so much time and frustration to just pull the plug and buy a new appliance! I’ve found at our Best Buy in the Appliance Showroom that they even have the “scratch and dent” discounted appliances which are always keen on our list! And for those times when we can afford a fancier appliance brand new and shiny – it’s SO awesome to see them all laid out side by side and have the time to compare them all. There are always blue shirts to help answer questions or to leave you alone while you look around. (and if you have kids like me they keep themselves occupied by opening every appliance they can get their hands on!)

So if you’re like me and you’re a baking maniac during the last half of the year, especially around the holidays – do yourself a favor and make sure your appliances are working properly or get new ones! Between baking cookies and pies or roasting hams – enjoy your time with family and check out the holiday appliances at Best Buy for an easier holiday season!
