Silly Little Bouncy Balls and a Geocaching Surprise!

Remember this little grow-a-bouncy-ball kit I bought from the Dollar Tree? It came with 100 itty bitty little balls that we put in a dish of water……(you can purchase water beads here)
…..which grew into these marble sized bouncy balls?? They took quite a while to dry and I’m not sure they will really every completely dry BUT the kids sure had a blast bouncing them around tonight!! 🙂
And to be honest LOL I don’t even know where most of them are anymore because they are small and seem to blend in very well with the flooring!!
SOOOOO today we went geocaching at our local swamp / nature park. (Never heard of geocaching – catch up on our family’s avid geocaching habits here!) And what do you think my son found in one of the hidden caches?? A little bag of balls that grow in water!! Not kidding! He eagerly grabbed them and so tonight we put them in a vase of water…..we will be searching for a live bamboo plant for him to raise now!!
Anyone know where you can buy a bamboo stick by itself other than a flea market? I thought that would be the perfect thing for my 4 year old to be responsible of!
I think they have bamboo at Walmart.

Oh no! All of our local Dollar Trees have them but I cannot find them on their online website. It may just be regional depending on where they are purchasing them from.
