Saving $$ at Halloween! OH NO! It’s happening!

1. Make Your Own Costume– We used to be ghosts, hippies, rock stars, clowns, and anything else creative we could think of without needing to sew anything. Thrift stores are great for creating old costumes!
2. Swap Costumes with a Friend – Have friends with kids around the same age? Swap costumes!
3. Buy Your Costumes the Year Before. I ALWAYS buy my Halloween costumes after Halloween for the next year (usually at Old Navy – they are great quality). If I’m not sure what size – I buy both because it’s still cheaper than buying one at full price. I have a whole slew of costumes from birth – 5T for my kids!
4. Attend a Harvest Festival instead. Many churches and organization have Halloween or “harvest” festivals the night of where you don’t have to dress up. They are typically like mini-carnivals.
