Giant Magnetic Plant Life Cycles Review

Spring is here and so are all sorts of learning lessons on plants! Our family recently planted several types of gardens outside so when I saw this Giant Magnetic Plant Life Cycles from Learning Resources I thought this would be an awesome item to help teach our kids about the life cycles of plants!

Not only is it giant which makes it great for a classroom so that all the kids can see but I love that it’s magnetic! My kids LOVE magnets, as most kids do, and they especially love learning when there is a hands-on aspect to it!

There are two different life cycles included in this set – one for the bean and one for an apple. There are no labels so it’s pretty versatile when teaching or quizzing kids. Each life cycle has 6 different magnets with it that are nice and large.

I like how each cycle is a separate magnet so that you can mix up the pieces and have the kids place them back in order.

I think I should have put the apple cycle straight across the board instead of a circle! 🙂 My son couldn’t reach all of it! These larger-than-life magnets really helped my son to visualize the different stages of an apple’s life cycle & a bean’s life cycle.

I love this we study the plant life cycle in second grade and would be a wonderful addition to the curriculum. I love the ability to have students come up and be involved hands on when learning about the life cycle of a plant.

  2. I have the frog cycle and love it. Would love this too.
