This post may contain affiliate links, view my disclosure policy.

Published 1/22/2013. I have separated them out by NATIONAL discounts and STATE (in alphabetical order). If you know of somewhere that offers FREE admission, passes, or discounts to teachers please leave it in the comments below along with any info or URL links you have and I will add it to this list! Please pin and share this post with other teachers so that they can take advantage of these teacher freebies! Ask about teacher discounts everywhere you go. Many will decide to offer you a discount just because.

If there is a *** that means it is also available to HOMESCHOOLERS.
If there is a ^^^ that means that certain childcare providers are also eligible.
If there is a \\\ that means students receive a discount.

  1. JennK says

SC Aquarium offers free admission to certified teachers. I don’t know the page address but the website is scaquarium.org.

  2. Laurie says

What about teachers in NC? Any place that gives discounts? What if you are traveling. Do you still get the discount?

  3. Tina says

    Found the pricing:

    Our admission is as follows:

    $10 adults
$8 seniors 65+, educators with a valid ID, and active military
$6 for students, including college students with a valid ID
FREE for kids 4 and under

  4. Beth says

The Field Museum in Chicago only gives free admission to Illinois teachers – I checked, and apparently there was a policy change and they have done this since 2009.

I was, as a teacher from nearby Indiana, pretty disappointed.

  5. Alison says

The Museum of Science in Boston offers a great teacher partner program. On select weekends in Sept., a teacher plus up to three guests get free admission, free admittance to two special exhibits, and free parking!
