Day of the Dead Coloring Pages

These Day of the Dead coloring pages, or Dia de los Muertos coloring pages, are beautiful ways to teach children about a cultural holiday most famously celebrated in Mexico. I am so fascinated by the ornate sugar skulls so I wanted to put together these beautiful Day of the Dead coloring pages. Feel free to pin them and print as many as you need!

There are 6 total pages, each with a fact about the Day of the Dead holiday on each of them. Print them, color them, and then cut them out to make a garland or paste onto the end of a paint stick for role play. Don’t forget to grab some flowers, glitter, tissue paper, pom pom balls, and anything else you want for a beautiful 3d effect!

Feel free to use them in your classrooms if you can pass it off for cultural. You can put them out in an activity center table along with rhinestones and fake flowers for more ornate decor.

Thank you soooo much! I have many more Mexican American students this year than I normally do. I’m trying to do more lessons/units to incorporate their culture. I truly appreciate this free resource.

  2. LOVE the book! I wanted something simple that gave a brief explanation of Dia de los Muertes for my kiddos & this will work beautifully. Thank you so much for the resource!
