Last week I was just absolutely FED UP with my computer! I had sent it off for a few weeks to the manufacturer to get the cooling system repaired and when I got it back it seemed slower than molasses. My internet browser continually froze up on me. My computer was slow and many times unresponsive. I ran my AVG virus checker but every time it showed it was just fine. I literally sat at my desk in front of my crashing computer and growled at my husband how frustrated I was! Then I remembered – I have GEEK SQUAD! *insert super hero music* I finally restarted my computer and quickly logged onto my Geek Squad dashboard.
I had the option to chat with the agent I had used for my last issue, or to choose the next available agent. I chose to go with the next available agent so that I would be able to get started right away and explained all of my issues to him. By then it had become a growing list of random issues!! He was very nice and asked if he could take over my computer so I said yes please!! I was afraid that he would have to talk me through a zillion steps and I had a lot of work to do that day!! He gave me simple steps on how to allow him access to my computer and we were up and running! It was such a relief not to have to do any of the techy work!! He ended up bringing on another agent to help and they ran all sorts of tests AND did a complete PC tune up which took almost 4 hours!! 4 HOURS!? I couldn’t believe it!! Seriously – I LEFT MY HOUSE. I had to go pick up my kids from school and while I was gone the GeekSquad agents worked on my computer. In fact I even went to another room and worked on my husband’s computer for most of the day. They not only fixed my issues but did a defrag and checked everything on my computer for me. You have NO idea how relieved I was – check out all of this stuff Geek Squad can help you with – JUST on the computer! Each device has it’s own list!
I save myself almost 4 hours of frustration and work! Those 4 hours would have cost me the entire amount of the Geek Squad membership if I had hired someone separately to do it for me!! I was not only able to get more work done, but I was even able to leave my house and visit my children at school while they did all of the work for me. That’s MY kind of service!! AND they’re available 24 hours a day!
Disclosure: I have received the Geek Squad membership from Best Buy as part of their Best Buy Ambassador Board but 4 hours is no joke to me as a blogger and as a mom! Time IS money, and so is having technology that runs properly. I do NOT like dealing with “kinks” in technology – they just frustrate me and I get nothing done. I am thankful for the opportunity to really try out and use the Geek Squad service. The membership price is normally $199 which is no small price. BUT it IS worth it – especially if you have to go through the headache of a computer virus or some other issue in which you need to hire someone to help you fix it. And not only that but I’d rather pay someone else to do it for me anyways! Let me tell you that less stress in your life is an healthier option and you know that I’m all about healthier options this year!
