Magic Milk Straws – YUM!

YUM! A few weeks ago I came across Magic Milk Straws at Walmart so I bought a pack for my kiddos. It is Gluten Free, Soy Free, Lactose Free and LOW sugar (ALWAYS a plus here!) so I decided to buy them! Oddly enough there is a great Groupon deal for them right now – $15 for 108 straws! I’m tempted to get them but it would be a lifetime supply – LOL. My oldest son does not really care for milk BUT he will drink it if I pull out a Magic Straw. (which by the way I found hilarious that it’s FOR milk but is lactose free! Don’t get me wrong – I am VERY thankful as both of my kids drink lactose-free milk, it just made me chuckle!). In fact instead of giving my kids treats or candy all I have to do is pull out one of these “candy” straws for them and get them to drink a glass of milk instead!

Have you guys tried these? Does anyone have any ideas on how to male something similar on your own? For $15 I just might have to take the leap and stuff our closet with these Magic Straws! I LOVE that it’s all natural without artificial coloring or junk in it!

My kids love these. The timing of this offer is funny, because I was planning on buying some for next school year. Despite my cajoling, the kids ALWAYS want to get flavored milk at school instead of plain milk. While our school does offer Lactaid for lactose-intolerant kids, they only have the plain. One of my girls had problems with lactose as a baby/toddler, but grew out of it. At 8, it has reared its ugly head again. The poor kids only get 20 minutes to eat as it is, so having to go to the nurses office to get a tablet before lunch would mean she wolfed down her meal even faster. This is my solution! She can buy the Lactaid, but still have flavors!
