As I was working on my Elmer’s Bag it Forward campaign this year I was sifting through my emails, and found that a faithful reader had written me an email LAST YEAR that I completely missed. So this year as I was working on my own Bag it Forward Campaign, I began to read it for the first time. Here is what she wrote:
I wanted to share this story with you that I will hope will brighten your day. Yesterday when I walked into my room I found a heap of supplies. I could not believe it! There was a note from one of my parents. She went out and bought all of the supplies for the classroom for “extras” and her daughter will bring hers at the beginning of the year.
I sent out your website to my parents weeks ago. First because of the saving you provide. Also many of them are teachers and I knew they would love it as much as I do!! When I called this parent to thank her, she told me she got the idea after reading the bag it forward.
I wanted to share this story with you and let you know that parents do follow you (not just teachers). I have had MANY parents tell me how much they LOVE and appreciate your site. I know of one parent who lives by your school supply ad, lol.
I just wanted to say thank you.
